Secretary General Kozarev receives the state delegation of Gabon

In the conversation with the guests, Kozarev emphasized that Serbia is interested in strengthening political and economic relations with Gabon, as a traditionally friendly country and one of our most important partners in sub-Saharan Africa.

Kozarev noted that he is convinced that a significant step forward in concretizing cooperation will be made through the work of the Joint Commission, which should meet in Libreville this fall.

Secretary General Kozarev said that cooperation could also be intensified at the level of foreign ministries, primarily through the exchange of experiences and training of diplomatic staff, thus further enhancing the communication channels between the two ministries.

In the talks, mutual readiness was expressed for the opening of a diplomatic mission of Gabon in Serbia, as well as of Serbia in Gabon.

The Gabonese side expressed interest in continuing to participate in the "World in Serbia" scholarship programme, as part of which university students from Gabon are already attending lectures at our faculties.
