Minister Dačić meets with Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dačić met with Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council Majlinda Bregu in Belgrade today.

Secretary General Bregu expressed her gratitude for the support that the Government of Serbia was providing to the Regional Cooperation Council in its activities. She particularly emphasised the importance of the agreements which had been, with the assistance of the RCC, signed at the Berlin Process Summit on 3 November 2022 (Agreement on travel with identification cards, Agreement on the recognition of university diplomas and Agreement on the recognition of physician’s, dentist’s and architect’s licences) and expressed her hope that their ratification in Serbia would soon be completed and that they would fully apply by October, when the next Berlin Process Summit was to take place in Tirana.

Minister Dačić stressed that regional cooperation was one of Serbia’s foreign policy priorities, and added that the Republic of Serbia would continue to be a sincere and constructive partner to the RCC. He also expressed his support to the RCC and to Secretary General Bregu in their activities, and highlighted that we highly appreciated RCC’s cooperation with the EU and believed that cooperation in terms of European integration should remain the key factor of RCC's political activity and its goal.
