Political relations
Bilateral relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Uganda are traditionally good and friendly. The memory of the role of the SFRY in the period of the anti-colonial struggle still represents one of the positive foundations on which the current relations between Uganda and Serbia are based. Former President of the Republic Tomislav Nikolić awarded President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni with the Order of the Republic of Serbia on the ribbon for merits in developing and strengthening peaceful cooperation and friendly relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Uganda. On 13 October 2019, within the 141st session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Maja Gojković, met with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Rwandan Parliament, Donatille Mukabalisa. At the invitation of the President of the Assembly of Uganda, the then President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojković visited the Republic of Uganda from 22 to 24 February 2019. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda, Sam Kutesa, paid a visit to the Republic of Serbia from 14 to 17 July 2013.
Economic relations
In 2020, exports amounted to 26,227 million euros, while imports amounted to 4,674 million euros.
In 2019, exports amounted to 6.220 million euros, while imports amounted to 3.179 million euros.
