Political relations
Bilateral relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Kingdom of Norway are characterized by developed cooperation in various fields. The political dialogue is developed and continuous with the exchange of visits at the highest and high level.
During the official visit of President of the Republic of Serbia A. Vučić to Norway on November 28 and 29, 2022, meetings were held with King Harald V, Prime Minister J. Mr. Store and the President of the Parliament M. Garahani
Working visit to Oslo by the Minister for European Integration R. of Serbia Tanje Miščević organized in March 2023. On that occasion, she met with the then MFA A. Huitfeld and the president of the Committee for Foreign Policy and Defense in the Parliament K. Norway I. E. Soreides.
During the working visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabić to Norway in 2017, meetings were held with Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Norway Erna Solberg and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ine Eriksen Søreide.
Visit of the former First Vice President of the Government and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić was realized in 2017.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway, Eriksen Søreide visited the Republic of Serbia on 24 June 2019 and had separate talks with the President Aleksandar Vučić, Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabić and former First Vice President of the Government and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić..
Prime Minister Erna Solberg visited the Republic of Serbia in 2018 and on that occasion, she talked with the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabić.
Economic relations
Total trade amounted between Serbia and Norway in 2022. was 111, 1 milion euros (exports 26,8 million euros and the imports 84,3 million euros). In 2021. trade amounted to 142,64 million euros (exports 26,1 and imports 116,54 million euros).
In May 2016, the Serbian-Norwegian Business Forum was established, with its headquarters in Norway.
The largest scope of cooperation between Serbia and Norway was achieved in the field of investments, in the amount of 1.36 billion euros. Significant investments were made by RAPP Marine AS, EMISOFT and Elopak.
Norway is one of the largest bilateral donors in Serbia: through various assistance programs to our country, through donations and technical assistance in the past 15 years, it has provided about 216 million euros in development assistance.
