VISA REGIME

For holders of diplomatic and official passports:

Visas are required for holders of passports issued by the Coordination Directorate of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia. From October 13, 2024, entry into EU and Schengen countries will be visa-free for these passports.

ENTERING AND LEAVING THE COUNTRY
Visa not required for holders of biometric passports of the Republic of Serbia for stays in Norway up to 90 days over a period of 180 days.
According to Norwegian regulations, it is necessary to have NOK 500 available per each day of stay, which is checked at the border. Travellers should also present return-ticket reservation.
The import of weapons and ammunition is prohibited, except for persons with appropriate Norwegian permit. Norway applies EU regulations regarding travelling with pets. More information at www.toll.no. Duty free allowances include one carton of cigarettes and one litre of spirits (up to 60%). It is permitted to bring currency of a value of NOK 25,000 to and from Norway.

SOCIAL SECURITY AGREEMENT
No social security agreement has been concluded.

USEFUL INFORMATION  

HEALTH SITUATION — Current information on the health situation is available on the website of the World Health Organization, as well as on the websites of Norwegian health institutions: www.who.int and www.helsedirektoratet.no. It is recommended to buy travel insurance for the entire duration of the tourist stay in the Norway due to the high prices of health services.

TRANSPORT — Operating a motor vehicle requires the possession of a national driving license, vehicle registration certificate, and an International driving permit. Driving license of the Republic of Serbia is recognized for a period of up to 3 months (visa-free period). Tolls are collected at road toll stations either automatically (AutoPASS) or manually. On most toll stations tolls are collected by AutoPASS (simply passing through the station), while at some toll stations there are lanes for both AutoPASS and manual payment.

OTHER INFORMATION — The official currency is the Norwegian krone (NOK). Payment cards are the dominant method of payment in Norway, and all standard cards are accepted (Eurocard, Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Diners club).
