Political relations

Bilateral relations with Jamaica are friendly and with no open issues, and have been traditionally defined by the common membership in the Non-Aligned Movement. Serbia is also committed to activities within regional organisations where Jamaica enjoys full membership – Caribbean Community, Association of Caribbean States, which are a complementary communication channel and make a further development of relations possible.

 

Economic relations

In 2020, the value of export amounted to 81 thousand euros, while the value of import amounted to two thousand euros. In 2019, the value of export amounted to 22 thousand euros, while the value of import amounted to 9 thousand euros.

 

Bilateral agreements

  • Agreement on Technical Cooperation between the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and Jamaica, signed on April 4, 1974.
  • Trade Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the Government of Jamaica signed on November 9, 1977.
