ENTERING AND LEAVING THE COUNTRY
To enter Jamaica, citizens of the Republic of Serbia need a visa which can be obtained at the Consulate of Jamaica in Belgrade (address: Dobračina Street No. 60, 11 000 Belgrade, contact telephone number: 00 381 11 33 40 338, fax. 00 381 11 33 40 488, e-mail: srbija@jamaicanconsulate.rs) or when entering the country with proof of possession of sufficient funds (for a daily stay — up to USD 50), as well as a return ticket or a ticket to the next destination. The period of validity of the passport for tourist travel must be 6 months after the expiration of the visa, which also applies to regulation of the stay.
Citizens of the Republic of Serbia who have valid visas from the United States, Canada, Great Britain, and the Schengen countries may enter and stay in Jamaica for up to 30 days without a Jamaican visa, with a certificate of vaccination against measles, rubella and polio.

HEALTH SITUATION — It is advisable to have health insurance, since the prices of medical services are high. Travel to Jamaica does not require prior vaccination, unless one arrives from Asia, Africa, Central and South America, the Dominican Republic or Haiti. SECURITY SITUATION — Jamaica has a high crime rate. However, serious forms of crime occur in ghettos, far from tourist centres. Tourists should bring only the minimum amount of cash they need, especially in rural areas where credit card payments are not possible in most cases.
TRANSPORT — The national airline Air Jamaica Express (www.airjamaica.com) flies between all major cities of Jamaica, and the airlines Caribbean Airlines (www.caribbean-airlines.com) and InterCaribbean (www.interCaribbean.com) fly between the two largest cities in Jamaica ― Kingston and Montego Bay.
Sea transport is also developed, with the possibility of renting yachts and motorboats. Coach (bus) transport between Kingston and Montego Bay is reliable enough, while city traffic is subject to delays. The company Knutsfordexpress (www.knutsfordexpress.com) maintains regular lines between all major cities. The use of private minibuses is recommended. Taxis usually do not have taximeters, so it is necessary to inquire in advance about the fare. Car rental can be arranged at the hotels, provided that the drivers/renters have their national driver's licence and are at least 25 years of age. During a tourist stay in this country, it is possible to drive a motor vehicle with a driver's licence from the Republic of Serbia.
OTHER INFORMATION — The local currency is the Jamaican dollar (J or JMD), but the USD can also be used. Credit cards and traveller's checks are accepted on the island. Western Union can be used to transfer money from abroad.
