Political relations
Bilateral relations register a rising trend after the revitalisation of political dialogue and diversification of all forms of cooperation during the preceding period.
The Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs at the time Z. Đorđević was present for the inauguration ceremony of President L. Abinader on 16 August 2020 in Santo Domingo, as a special envoy of President A. Vučić. The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs at the time I. Dačić visited the Dominican Republic from 8 to 11 December 2018.
Economic relations
Exports to the amount of 622 thousand euros and imports to the amount of 1.9 million euros were registered in 2020. Exports to the amount of 263 thousand euros and imports to the amount of 2.1 million euros were registered in 2019.
Bilateral agreements
- Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Dominican Republic on eliminating visas for holders of diplomatic and official passports, signed on 10 December 2018.
