Political relations
The long tradition of friendly bilateral relations is characterised by mutual understanding and interest in improving political dialogue and overall cooperation in the bilateral and multilateral field.
The then President of the Republic of Serbia Tomislav Nikolić attended the opening of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in August 2016. In June 2012 he attended the UN Sustainable Development Conference in Rio de Janeiro.
The then First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić attended the inauguration ceremony of the President of the Federative Republic of Brazil Jair Bolsonaro on 1 January 2019.
Economic relations
According to data from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, the total trade exchange with Brazil in 2025 amounted to €179.9 million, of which €43.5 million referred to exports from the Republic of Serbia and €136.4 million to imports.
