ENTERING AND LEAVING THE COUNTRY
Holders of all types of passports of the Republic of Serbia are required to obtain a visa. The same applies to holders of an emergency travel document in transit. Serbian citizens can submit visa applications to the Embassy of the Republic of Senegal in Berlin (Germany) or any other Senegalese embassy if they are abroad.
When entering Senegal, it is permitted to have 1 liter of any alcoholic beverage and one box of cigarettes, 250 grams of tobacco or 50 cigars per adult person in possession.
Any amount greater than 1 000 000 Senegalese francs (CFA francs), which is around 1,500 euros, must be declared upon entry into the country, along with a certificate of origin.

No social security agreement has been concluded.
USEFUL INFORMATION
HEALTH SITUATION – As of 2007, vaccination is not mandatory but it is recommended against malaria, hepatitis A and yellow fever (although there have been no cases of this disease in Senegal since 2002). SECURITY SITUATION – Visitors can move around freely but should be cautious as several kidnappings of foreigners have been reported. Although the security situation in Senegal is assessed as stable, travelling in regions bordering Mali should be avoided due to possible attacks by Salafist rebels, as well as in areas bordering Mauritania. If travel is necessary, it should not be undertaken at night or on your own. There is a risk of robbery in Dakar; therefore, it is not recommended to wear jewellery or carry large amounts of money.
Walking should be avoided, especially at night. When using a car, it is recommended to keep the windows closed.
TRANSPORT – Senegal has a number of airports, the newest and the most important being Blaise Diagne International Airport in Dakar.
Roads connecting big towns are in good condition. Motorists should pay attention to the driving speed and avoid driving in the period July–October, due to heavy rains. In case of traffic accident in Dakar, please contact the Central Police Commissariat or the Gendarmerie. For other parts of the country, you may contact the nearest police or Gendarmerie station.
OTHER INFORMATION – The currency used in Senegal is the West African CFA franc.
