Starović: A very successful visit of the delegation of Sao Tome and Principe to Serbia
Also, a Letter of Intent was signed between the two Ministries of Health on cooperation in the field of health and medical sciences, by State Secretary at the Ministry of Health Aleksandar Stefoski and Minister Ten Jua.
After the agreement signing ceremony, State Secretary Starović said that the signing of today's documents concluded the successful visit of the delegation of São Tomé and Príncipe, led by Prime Minister Jorge Bom Jesus.
“Very important and substantive meetings were held in the previous days, during which the aid that Serbia will send to this friendly country on the African continent was determined,” said Starović.
As regards the Joint Statement on cooperation in the field of education, Starović pointed out that Serbia therewith committed itself to continue successful cooperation in the field of education, which has been implemented through the “World in Serbia” programme, carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and state universities in Serbia.
“In the current school year, we hosted three students from São Tomé and Príncipe and our wish is to continue and deepen this cooperation, and we want even more students from this African country to come to study in Belgrade and other university centres,” said the State Secretary.
Minister Edite Ten Jua emphasised that two important documents were signed today and that they, along with other signed agreements, would contribute to improving relations between São Tomé and Príncipe and Serbia.
“Our bilateral cooperation is very dynamic and we are determined to continue cooperation in all other areas,” said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of São Tomé and Príncipe.
