Spouse of the President, Tamara Vucic, meets with the UN Population Fund country director
In the talks, the spouse of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Tamara Vucic, noted that she particularly appreciated the support and activity of the Office of the United Nations Population Fund in the Republic of Serbia, bearing in mind the importance of the topics that UNFPA is actively dealing with.
Furthermore, she pointed out that the Republic of Serbia had recently become a member of the United Nations Commission on Population and Development, expressing her belief that, in this way, additional opportunities would open up for more intensive engagement in the area of population policy.
Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) for the Republic of Serbia, John Kennedy Mosoti, expressed his satisfaction with the successful cooperation that the Republic of Serbia maintained with UNFPA. He also pointed out the importance of activities undertaken by the spouse of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Tamara Vucic, on issues of social importance, especially in terms of youth empowerment.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the marking of the 30th anniversary of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD 30) in 2024 and affirmed their readiness to continue further cooperation.
