Serbia is determined to strengthen all types of cooperation with Poland
Minister Selaković assessed that bilateral relations are very good, that our countries are connected by friendship and tradition in nurturing diplomatic cooperation that dates back to 1919.
Selaković said that Serbia is determined to strengthen all types of cooperation with Poland, especially political dialogues, and emphasized that President Andrzej Duda is openly invited to visit our country.
The head of Serbian diplomacy pointed out that our country wants to intensify economic relations and trade exchange with Poland, and on this occasion, he called on Polish investors to strengthen their presence on the Serbian market.
The Minister thanked for Poland's continuous support for Serbia's European integration, emphasizing that for Serbia, joining the EU is the primary strategic commitment.
Selaković also spoke about the importance of the Visegrad Group (V4), saying that our country recognizes the closeness with the V4 member states and confirmed the determination to cooperate, both bilaterally, with the member states, and in this format. The Minister thanked the V4 for the support for the process of joining Serbia and the entire Western Balkans to the EU.
We share the opinion that regional formats encourage cooperation and we are ready to participate with V4 through regular annual meetings in various formats, such as the upcoming one in Poznań at the end of June, said Selaković.
Selaković especially underlined that it is of key interest for Serbia to preserve stability in the region and the orientation of all countries towards the improvement of good neighborly cooperation.
Introducing his interlocutor with the process of normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina, whose guarantor is the EU, as well as with the implementation of the undertaken obligations of both sides, Selaković emphasized that Serbia approaches the dialogue in good faith, but also that a sustainable compromise agreement is the key.
