Selaković: A very successful visit to Azerbaijan
Selaković underlined that the extremely good relations between the two presidents Vučić and Aliyev are a guide for everything that the state sector needs to do in order to continue strengthening cooperation in all fields.
The Minister assessed that Azerbaijan is developing extremely fast and that this accelerated development, along with our good political relations, is a chance for us to do many things together in the future.
Selaković pointed out that in all meetings with Azerbaijani officials, it was stated that our two countries share common positions and values, primarily respect for the principles of international law. He emphasized that Azerbaijan supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, as well as that our country supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.
The Minister pointed out that the sixth session of the Intergovernmental Committee for Economic Cooperation of the two countries was held as part of the visit, as well as a business forum attended by ten companies from Serbia, at which a great interest of Azerbaijani companies to invest in Serbia was also shown.
"The goal of this visit was to strengthen our political relations, but also to properly prepare for President Aliyev's visit to Belgrade, which will take place on 10 October", the minister said, adding that after the visit, Serbia and Azerbaijan will jointly organize a high-level gathering to mark the 60th anniversary of the Belgrade Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement, which is very important.
The head of Serbian diplomacy said that Serbia still respects the heritage of former Yugoslavia, and that with this gathering in Belgrade, it wants to show its commitment to the values of the Movement, but also to peace, solidarity, and the fight for a freer, more developed world.
