Selaković: It is necessary to strengthen cooperation with Antigua and Barbuda

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Nikola Selaković, met on the sidelines of the conference of the Non-Aligned Movement with Everly Paul Chet Green, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Antigua and Barbuda.

Selaković stated that in the forthcoming period, it shall be necessary to strengthen the contractual and legal bases for more efficient bilateral cooperation, both in the field of visa liberalization and in the field of economy.

The possibilities for cooperation in the areas of healthcare, education, youth and sports, as well as the investment potentials of the two countries were also discussed during the meeting.

The head of Serbian diplomacy informed his interlocutor about the “World in Serbia” project and that the number of scholarships which Serbia gives to young people from friendly countries to study in our country has quadrupled, and that he hopes more students from Antigua and Barbuda will apply.

After the meeting, the ministers signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two ministries on friendship and mutual cooperation.

Minister Selaković conveyed Serbia's readiness to donate vaccines against the coronavirus to this Caribbean country.
