The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Selaković, met today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Botswana, Lemogang Kwape.

Thanking Minister Kwape for coming to Belgrade and participating in the high-level meeting dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the first conference of the Non-Aligned Movement, Selaković assessed that relations between Serbia and Botswana are traditionally good, but also that political dialogue and high-level visits need to be renewed.

In a conversation with Minister Kwape, Selaković emphasized that it is necessary to improve economic cooperation.

Selaković introduced his interlocutor to the “World in Serbia” scholarship program for foreign students, expressing the expectation that a larger number of young people from Botswana will obtain their education in Belgrade in the near future.

The head of Serbian diplomacy thanked Botswana for its principled position on the issue of Kosovo and Metohija and the continuous support it provides to Serbia in international organizations. Selaković informed the head of Botswana's diplomacy about today's brutal unilateral actions of Pristina in the north of Kosovo and Metohija.
