Selaković: Exceptional political relations between Serbia and Cyprus

Noting the traditional friendship and relations based on understanding and mutual support in the protection of national interests, Minister Selaković pointed out that Serbia attached great importance to the overall cooperation with the Republic of Cyprus.

Minister Selaković expressed his satisfaction with the exceptional political relations between the two countries, saying that this year we should expect Minister of Foreign Affairs Ioannis Kasoulides to pay an official visit to Serbia.
 
Minister Selaković also stated that Serbia was clearly committed to strengthening economic cooperation with Cyprus, particularly emphasising that Serbia was interested in improving cooperation in the field of investments.
 
Minister Selaković especially thanked Cyprus for its clear position on non-recognition of the so-called Kosovo, as well as for the support it provided to Serbia in the international organisations. The Minister also underlined that Serbia provided full and unreserved support to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Cyprus.
 
When it comes to Serbia's European path, Minister Selaković highlighted that the active support of Cyprus was valuable to us, and thanked for the engagement of Cypriot friends in accelerating Serbia`s European integration process.
