Selaković congratulates President Vučić on his new mandate

On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and on my own behalf, I wish President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić a happy start to his new mandate. I am convinced that the years ahead, although undoubtedly filled with challenges, will be the years of Serbia`s success and growth.

Serbia is fortunate to have citizens who have been able to recognise how important it is that, at times when the entire world is slipping into instability and crisis of still not fully comprehensible scale, Serbia is led by a strong and unwavering statesman, ready and willing to fight to the last atom of his strength for Serbia`s right to sovereignty in decision making, freedom, and independence. I am certain that President Vučić will continue to be the strongest fighter for the protection of the Serbian state and national interests, as well as keep inspiring the entire state apparatus with his work ethic.

Serbia does not have a large territory or population, but there is no larger country or larger population in the region. Therefore, in the years ahead, the eyes of all Serbian people will be on President Vučić as the leader and initiator of state and national revival and reliable captain of the ship during troubled times.

In the years to come, Serbia's foreign policy will continue to be led in the strategic direction defined by President Vučić, and the entire system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be, as before, part of a joint effort to recognise Serbia on the international level as an economically and democratically advanced country, a credible partner, and a generator of positive processes in the region.
