Minister Đurić confers with the Deputy Secretary General of NATO

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, met today in Munich with NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Shekerinska.

Minister Đurić stated that Serbia's relations with NATO are based on a partnership collaboration, in line with Serbia's policy of military neutrality, but with a readiness to further enhance cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

He noted that regular dialogue between Serbia and NATO contributes to better mutual understanding on key issues, especially regarding the need to maintain peace in Kosovo and Metohija and ensure the safety of the Serbian people on the ground.

The head of Serbian diplomacy emphasized that Serbia supports the engagement of international forces in the Province under a strict, complete, and impartial implementation of the UN Security Council Resolution 1244, and expects KFOR to maintain a status-neutral stance and to proactively act to prevent any security disturbances on the ground.

The meeting was also attended by the Minister of European Integration, Tanja Miščević, and the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, Brankica Janković.
