Minister Dacic signs a book of condolence at the Canadian Embassy

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic signed a book of condolence today, opened at the Embassy of Canada following the passing away of former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney.

“In the wake of the passing away of the former Prime Minister of Canada Brian Mulroney, on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and on my own, I extend the expressions of deepest condolences and sympathies to his family, the Government and the people of Canada.

The Republic of Serbia will remember Brian Mulroney as a prominent statesman, politician and excellent diplomat, and above all as a great friend of our country, who with his vision and deeds left an indelible mark on the relations between the two countries.

In particular, we extend our sincere condolences to his spouse, Milica Mila Pivnicki Mulroney, and their children, with eternal gratitude to the distinguished Mulroney family for everything they have done to preserve the friendship between our two countries.

We will remember him forever. May he rest in glory!”, Minister Dacic wrote.
