Minister Dačić with the senior policy advisor to the US Secretary of State Derek Chollet
Minister Dačić emphasised the strategic commitment of the Republic of Serbia to the improvement of all forms of cooperation with the USA, and pointed out that the historical alliance between the two countries and peoples should be continued and bilateral relations further strengthened.
Both officials conveyed their determination to intensify the political dialogue and exchange visits between high state officials of the Republic of Serbia and the USA. First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić expressed willingness to visit the United States of America soon. They also exchanged opinions on regional issues and the current situation in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as the possibilities for achieving progress in the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
Senior policy advisor to the US Secretary of State, Derek Chollet, conveyed the interest expressed by the US President Joseph Biden in achieving full regional stability and prosperity for all citizens in the Western Balkans. He welcomed the willingness of FDPM and FM Dačić to visit Washington and expressed hope that they will meet again soon.
