Minister Dacic receives the Ambassador of Spain
Minister Dacic wished Ambassador Aparicio a warm welcome and much success in his new and responsible post, recalling that he had had good cooperation with his predecessor, Ambassador Raul Bartolomé Molina, who was awarded the Order of the Serbian Flag First Class for his contribution to the development of bilateral relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Kingdom of Spain, on Statehood Day this year.
Both parties noted that the political relations between the two countries were excellent, friendly and without outstanding issues, with mutual support on issues of vital national interest for both countries, as well as that there was significant room for the further promotion of economic cooperation.
The interlocutors agreed that there were numerous opportunities for the further strengthening of all forms of cooperation in other areas as well, especially in the spheres of transport infrastructure, tourism, renewable energy sources, agriculture, education and cultural cooperation.
Minister Dacic expressed his special gratitude for the firm and principled position of the Kingdom of Spain concerning non-recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of the so-called Kosovo, as well as for the continued support for Serbia's European integration.
Ambassador Aparicio reiterated the support of the Kingdom of Spain to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia and the European integration process of our country. As his priorities in the future, he pointed out the enhancement of economic cooperation and greater Spanish cultural presence in Serbia, and noted that the Cervantes Institute, which this year marked 20 years of work in Belgrade, would continue to actively engage to that end.
