Minister Dacic meets with the Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium
In the talks, satisfaction was expressed regarding Minister Lahbib's visit to Belgrade, which is being realized at this level on the Belgian side after six years.
Both sides pointed out that this visit was of great importance for promoting the overall bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as for examining the current process of enlargement of the European Union, since the Kingdom of Belgium will assume the Presidency of the Council of the European Union from 1 January 2024.
The Serbian side voiced the expectation that the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union would be successful and that it would give a positive impetus to taking the next steps in the process of the European integration of the Republic of Serbia.
The interlocutors noted that bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Kingdom of Belgium was developing positively, especially in the field of the economy, agreeing that additional engagement was needed, in order to use the potential for its enhancement in priority areas.
Views were also exchanged on the course of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and the importance of long-term stability in the region, as well as on the main current international topics.
