Minister Dacic meets with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic of Serbia, Annika Ben David, with whom he signed the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Kingdom of Sweden on remunerated activities of family members of diplomatic and consular missions’ staff.

On that occasion, Minister Dacic pointed out that the signing of the Agreement was of exceptional mutual importance. The Agreement was the result of several months of negotiations between the Serbian and Swedish sides and it enabled the employment of spouses of diplomats, with the aim of preserving the normal family life of diplomatic and consular representatives and keeping the family together.

Ambassador Annika Ben David expressed satisfaction with the signing of the aforementioned Agreement, which provides greater employment opportunities. She thanked Minister Dacic for the cooperation so far and expressed her willingness to continue to work on the strengthening of all forms of cooperation with the Republic of Serbia in the period ahead.

In a friendly conversation, it was noted that the relations between the two countries were good and both sides affirmed readiness for the further strengthening of political dialogue, exchange of visits at all levels and further connecting the two countries through the promotion of cooperation in a large number of areas, especially in the economy.
