MFA: There is no room for the politicization of a routine police procedure
The Ministry of Interior of Serbia explained all the circumstances related to the identification of a person accompanied by the son of the Prime Minister of Montenegro Zdravko Krivokapić, and we believe that there is no place for the politicization of a routine intervention of the Belgrade police.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro has no reason to be skeptical and to question the way in which the Ministry of Interior of Serbia described the event, because there is no basis for that.
As before, Serbia will continue to show hospitality to all citizens of Montenegro who respect the laws of our country, and we are honored that members of the Montenegrin Prime Minister's closest family have chosen to live in Belgrade.
Serbia and Montenegro are fraternal states, and Montenegrin citizens should feel at home in Serbia, and we believe that Serbian citizens should be treated equally in Montenegro, which unfortunately is often not the case.
No one can benefit from the routine police procedure, conducted without the use of force and coercion, being interpreted in any other light, and our ministry remains open to exchanging information and cooperating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro in all situations which may be of interest to the government in Podgorica.
