Kozarev confers with the Cuban Ambassador

Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Dušan Kozarev, met today with the Cuban Ambassador to Serbia, Leyde Ernesto Rodriguez Hernandez.

Kozarev noted that Serbia and Cuba are bound by traditionally close relations based on mutual understanding between the two nations, highlighted by the significant impetus provided by President Aleksandar Vučić's visit to Cuba in 2017 and the reciprocal visit by Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel to Serbia in 2023.

He emphasized Serbia's appreciation for Cuba's strong support in preserving Serbia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The counterparts discussed cooperation between the two countries in the fields of culture, science, tourism, agriculture, and biopharmaceuticals, as well as exploring further opportunities for collaboration in other areas of mutual interest.

Expressing gratitude for Cuba's confirmed participation at the specialized Expo 2027, State Secretary Kozarev highlighted this international event as an opportunity for Cuba to present its full potential to visitors.

The Cuban Ambassador also extended congratulations on the upcoming Serbian Statehood Day—Sretenje.
