To intensify cooperation with Azerbaijan in agriculture, tourism and construction

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Selaković, participated in the business forum held in Baku, and on that occasion, said that the potential for cooperation between Serbia and Azerbaijan is great, but that it is necessary to identify specific areas and projects in which we will cooperate.

After the forum, Selaković said that it had been agreed to work especially on intensifying cooperation in agriculture, tourism and construction, emphasizing that it was very important that representatives of ten Serbian companies were present at the forum, which were interested in strengthening contacts with Azerbaijani colleagues and exchanging experiences.

According to the Minister, these meetings are very important because Serbia and investment opportunities in our country are being promoted, but our business people are also being informed about their investment opportunities in Azerbaijan.

Selaković emphasized that one of the conclusions of the sixth session of the Intergovernmental Committee for Economic Cooperation of the two countries was that monitoring should be organized through video conferences at certain periods, which would be attended by all departments, and in that way, an overview of the situation could be made and we could see how far we got with the realization of projects and set goals. The Minister said that there will be many such meetings during the year, and that the first one will be held already at the end of September.
