Djuric: Serbia’s willingness to continue quality cooperation with Italy
Minister Djuric pointed out that Italy was one of Serbia’s strategic partners, and one of its top economic partners, and that we expected the cooperation to grow further, in goods and services trade as well as when it comes to investments.
The Serbian Foreign Minister thanked Italy for supporting Serbia in the EU integration process as well as for backing EU enlargement in the Western Balkans.
The Minister said that, with Serbia's full-fledged membership, the EU would get a healthy economy and industrial, human and other resources that would contribute to its further development in a positive manner.
He emphasized that the Serbian Government was pursuing a responsible policy aimed at preserving peace and stability in the region.
When it comes to the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Djuric pointed out that our side played a constructive role, but that it was constantly facing unilateral moves by the Pristina provisional institutions. He reminded that Pristina had still not delivered on what had been agreed eleven years ago under the First Brussels Agreement, as well as that basic human rights of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija were in jeopardy.
