Đurić: Serbia is strong, free, and open for business
"Serbia, along with France and Slovakia, friendly countries, presides over the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence. And today, from the heart of Paris, we send a strong message that Serbia is strong, that Serbia is free, and that Serbia is open for business," Minister Đurić emphasized.
According to him, it is also important that we send this message in the presence of ministers and officials from 40 countries who are in Paris today.
"We are a country that has something to say when it comes to science and technology. Our country, led by the vision of the then government, namely President Vučić and Mrs. Brnabić, adopted a program for e-government in 2017, and in 2019 adopted the first National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence, and this year a second one from 2025 to 2030," Minister said.
Serbia also has an Institute for Artificial Intelligence, and as he pointed out, about 110,000 people in our country work in the IT sector.
"This gives us a great starting basis, together with this presidency of the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence, to profile ourselves as one of the nations that are pioneers in the development of new technologies," Đurić stated.
All this, the Minister noted, is important for the pocket of every citizen of Serbia, for the future of every child in Serbia, as well as for Serbian universities and the academic community.
"And therefore, I am very happy, as a result of the exceptional relationship between President Vučić and President Macron, that Serbia has had the honor to preside over the Global Partnership for Artificial Intelligence in this temple of diplomacy, together with France and Slovakia," concluded the head of Serbian diplomacy.
