The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, alongside the Slovak Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Juraj Blanár, inaugurated the exhibition "Naive Art of the Slovaks from Kovačica- A good voice can be heard far and wide" at the Slovak embassy in Rome.

On this occasion, Đurić expressed his satisfaction with his visit to Rome and the successful day spent fostering regional cooperation, culminating in the opening of an exhibition that exemplifies the collaboration between two European nations and their intertwined cultures over centuries, beautifully represented through naive art.

"The displayed paintings reflect the many layers of the Slovak soul and the everyday life of the Slovaks, who are a proud part of our society. I would like to take this opportunity to invite each of you to visit Kovačica and other villages where our Slovak brothers and sisters live in Serbia, and of course, to visit Serbia, where you will be greeted with unmatched hospitality and have the opportunity to meet people who are dedicated to preserving their identity and culture," Minister Đurić highlighted.

The head of Serbian diplomacy emphasized that in times when the world faces numerous upheavals and challenges, it is crucial to remember that we are fighting to preserve a world where our identities and cultures are cherished and encouraged to thrive rather than being suppressed, erased, or devalued.

"I would like to thank our hosts, as well as our Italian hosts and our diplomats who have worked diligently on this. I also thank you for your incredible efforts in displaying this cultural creation that testifies to the fact that Europe has much to offer, that our countries have much to contribute. Special thanks to our artists as well. Long live the friendship between Italy, Serbia, and Slovakia!" the Serbian Foreign Minister, Marko Đurić, concluded.
