The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, met today on the sidelines of the Future Investment Initiative Conference in Riyadh with Talal Al-Marri, Chief Executive Officer of Expo 2030 Riyadh, to discuss preparations for the organization of this global exhibition.

Minister Đurić reaffirmed that Serbia remains firmly committed to deepening overall cooperation with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, emphasizing in particular the need to intensify political dialogue and strengthen cooperation across multiple areas of mutual interest.

Expressing satisfaction that Riyadh will host the World Expo 2030, Đurić noted that Serbia fully understands the scope of preparations and challenges ahead for Saudi Arabia, given that Belgrade is itself preparing to host the Specialized Expo in 2027.

Informing his counterpart about the ongoing intensive preparations of Serbia’s capital, including major infrastructure and urban development projects and the construction of an entirely new city district for the event, Đurić expressed hope that Saudi Arabia will participate and showcase itself in the best possible manner at this prestigious exhibition.

Al-Marri stated that the team he leads has already had the opportunity to cooperate with Serbia’s Expo 2027 representatives and announced an upcoming visit to Belgrade to further structure cooperation on all issues of common interest and exchange experiences.
