Đurić: In Munich, Serbia was praised for its achievements in the field of economy
Emphasizing the importance of Serbia's presence in Munich, Đurić noted that Serbia sent a message to all conference participants that it is open for business, stable, and future-oriented.
Regarding the situation in the region, Đurić mentioned that this year would be challenging due to the commemoration of various anniversaries, including "Operation Storm," Srebrenica, the liberation of Jasenovac, and the Dayton Agreement.
The chief of Serbian diplomacy stressed that Serbia aims to resolve problems without creating new ones, preserving the dignity and interests of the Serbian people while also respecting others, both our own and foreign victims.
"I am confident that this can also be a year of closer cooperation in the region. Despite all the challenges inherited from the past, our region has great potential to be a driver of Europe's development, and Serbia has already proven that it is," Đurić emphasized.
The Minister highlighted that during the two days of the conference, he had a series of extremely important discussions with American and other officials, including a meeting with the U.S. President's envoy for special missions, Richard Grenell.
"It is very important for us to use the changes in American politics as a new era in relations between our country, our region, and the USA, and we are responsibly working on this, primarily taking into account Serbian interests throughout the region," said Đurić.
Minister Đurić emphasized that in his conversation with the newly appointed European Union Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, Peter Sørensen, with whom he met yesterday, a special focus was on the position of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, and he informed him about all unilateral and uncoordinated actions taken by the Kurti regime in the previous period.
Having also spoken today with the foreign ministers of Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, and Albania, Đurić assessed that it is of great importance for Serbia to keep its environment peaceful and stable in this era of global turbulence.
The head of Serbian diplomacy also reminded that he had meetings with representatives of Jewish organizations and families of those kidnapped in Gaza, reiterating his call for their immediate release.
