Đurić with the Minister of trade, transport, industry, and tourism of Burundi

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, met today with the Minister of Trade, Transport, Industry, and Tourism of the Republic of Burundi, Marie Chantal Nijimbere, to discuss the development of bilateral cooperation.

Minister Đurić emphasized that Serbia places immense importance on its traditionally friendly relations with African nations and is committed to strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Highlighting the longstanding friendship between Serbia and Burundi, Đurić expressed satisfaction that the intensification of high-level political dialogue is creating opportunities for the enhancement of overall bilateral relations.

The Serbian Foreign Minister thanked Burundi for its support of Serbia's key national interests and briefed his counterpart on the current situation in Kosovo and Metohija, with a particular focus on the difficult position of Serbs and the pressures they face daily.

Both officials agreed that Serbia’s economic progress presents significant potential for cooperation between Serbia and Burundi across various economic sectors.
