Djuric meets with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland

The Head of Serbian diplomacy Marko Djuric had talks today in Luxembourg with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Radoslaw Sikorski, on the fringes of the informal meeting of the ministers of foreign affairs of the EU member states and representatives of the Western Balkan region.

Minister Djuric underlined that Serbia and Poland have been bound by long-standing good bilateral cooperation. Emphasizing that this year marks the 105th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Djuric invited his Polish counterpart for an official visit to Serbia.

Speaking about the EU accession process, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia pointed out that full membership in the European Union is a strategic commitment and priority of our country's foreign policy, and thanked Poland for the support it offers in that process.

Djuric informed the interlocutor about the ongoing developments in the region, as well as about the dialogue with Pristina and the status of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija.

The Head of Serbian diplomacy thanked Poland for the support it gave to Serbia's candidacy for hosting the Specialized World Exhibition EXPO 2027, and invited Polish companies to invest in Serbia, which would further improve and strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries.
