Đurić hosts Ministerial Luncheon in New York on the Occasion of Serbia’s CEI Chairmanship
Addressing the participants and CEI Secretary General Franco Dalla Mura, Minister Đurić emphasized that chairing this important international initiative—one that fosters regional economic, political, and cultural cooperation—is not merely a procedural duty, but a privilege and a responsibility that Serbia neither wishes nor intends to undertake alone.
He underlined that only through shared determination and collective strength can the complex challenges of today be addressed, ranging from economic disparities to migratory pressures.
“The theme of our Chairmanship—Connecting Europe: Shaping the Future—reflects the fact that the CEI, with its unique composition, is more than a forum for discussion. It is a living bridge between EU member states and aspiring partners, between diverse histories, economies, and cultures,” Minister Đurić stated.
As the foreign minister of a country fully committed to open dialogue, inclusive engagement, and tangible results, Đurić invited his colleagues to strengthen together the bridges of cooperation.
“Let us ensure that these bridges carry not only the weight of our present ambitions, but also the hopes of future generations,” Serbia’s Foreign Minister Marko Đurić concluded.
