Đurić confers with UNMIK Chief ahead of upcoming UN Security Council Session
Minister Đurić noted that the six-month period covered by the latest report has been marked by continued unilateral actions by Pristina against the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as numerous incidents. He expressed his expectation that the new report on UNMIK’s activities will provide a detailed account of these developments.
The Serbian Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of keeping UN Security Council sessions on UNMIK’s reports open to the public, stressing the need for the broader international community to be informed about the challenges on the ground.
According to Đurić, Belgrade remains firmly committed to fostering peace and stability in Kosovo and Metohija, noting that the success of this process will largely depend on the interlocutors representing Pristina in the period ahead.
Minister Đurić also informed his counterpart of Serbia’s position regarding the trilateral security cooperation agreement between Croatia, Albania, and Pristina, warning that this agreement raises legitimate concerns and does not contribute to trust or stability in the region.
