Đurić confers with the Romanian Foreign Minister
Đurić congratulated Minister Hurezeanu on his appointment and expressed satisfaction with the opportunity for a meeting focused on enhancing cooperation and discussing current issues significant to both neighboring countries.
Minister Đurić highlighted that the relations between Serbia and Romania are exemplary of traditional friendship, closeness, and understanding, with no open issues, emphasizing a commitment to deepening cooperation and expanding dialogue in all areas significant to both nations.
In this regard, Đurić expects that activities and contacts between the two foreign ministries will contribute to enriching their relations.
The Serbian diplomacy chief thanked Romania for its continuous support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia, specifically for its consistent and principled stance on not recognizing the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo.
Regarding Serbia's European integration, Đurić stated that Serbia highly values the support Romania provides on this journey.
Furthermore, Minister Đurić highlighted that regional cooperation is one of Serbia's foreign policy priorities, appreciating Romania's active contribution in regional forums, where it actively advocates for enhancing regional cooperation and supports the integration of the Western Balkans into the EU.
On this occasion, Đurić expressed hope that neighboring Romania will participate in the Specialized Expo 2027 and present itself in the best light at this event.
Minister Hurezeanu, during today's meeting which was also attended by the Minister for European Integration, Tanja Miščević, extended congratulations on Serbia's Statehood Day.
