Đurić confers with Kosachev
"Since the establishment of the modern Serbian state, our countries have cherished friendly and fraternal relations," emphasized Đurić, expressing confidence that, despite current challenges, the relations and cooperation between our two nations will continue to strengthen.
The Minister highlighted that the personal relationships between the two presidents add significant value to our bilateral ties, and equally important are the established political dialogues and contacts at all levels.
During today's meeting, discussions covered the state of bilateral relations and exchanged views on the situation in the Western Balkans and other critical international issues.
Reminding that today marks 17 years since separatist leaders in our southern province illegitimately attempted to declare independence, Đurić informed Kosachev about the current situation in Kosovo and Metohija and the state of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, reiterating our gratitude for Russia's consistent and principled stance on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia.
According to him, the Serbian people, particularly in Kosovo and Metohija, feel the support of the Russian Federation, which he noted is highly valued and will continue to be appreciated.
The Chief of Serbian diplomacy stressed that the issue of Kosovo and Metohija is of the highest national and state interest, and Russian support, both bilaterally and in international forums, is extremely valuable.
Đurić also reflected on the recent 20th session of the Serbian-Russian Intergovernmental Committee for trade, economic, and scientific-technical cooperation, which he said was significant in evaluating and defining further directions for enhancing economic cooperation.
"Inter-parliamentary cooperation is a useful tool for deepening understanding between our peoples and political classes," assessed Foreign Minister Marko Đurić during today's meeting with Kosachev.
