Đurić confers with the Foreign Minister of Mongolia

On the margins of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Battsetseg Batmunkh.

Noting the good relations between Serbia and Mongolia, Minister Đurić underlined that Serbia is committed to further intensifying political dialogue at the highest and prominent levels. In this regard, he recalled that Minister Batmunkh has an open invitation to visit Serbia.

During the meeting, the Serbian Foreign Minister expressed gratitude to Mongolia for its support of Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Part of the discussions was devoted to exploring modalities for strengthening economic and trade cooperation between Serbia and Mongolia.

Minister Đurić highlighted the importance of the “World in Serbia” program, which enables young people from around the globe to study in Serbia. He noted that the program serves as a bridge connecting Serbia with the world and represents an opportunity for young Mongolians wishing to further their education.

On this occasion, the two ministers signed the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of Mongolia on the Abolition of Visas for Holders of Diplomatic and Official Passports, which was assessed as an excellent step toward enhancing bilateral relations.

Minister Đurić also expressed hope that Mongolia would confirm its participation in the Specialized Expo 2027, stressing that it would be a valuable opportunity for this friendly country to present itself at a world-class international exhibition.
