Đurić with Bono: Positive trajectory in Serbian-American relations

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, held a phone conversation with the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia, Louis Bono.

Minister Đurić emphasized that the current relationship between Serbia and the U.S. is built on a positive agenda, characterized by an upward trajectory in political dialogue at all levels, as well as growing economic, investment, and trade ties. This progress is underpinned by mutual respect for the historical relations and friendship between the two nations.

The Serbian Foreign Minister reaffirmed Serbia's firm commitment to continuing to strengthen all aspects of bilateral relations with the new U.S. administration. In this regard, he highlighted the initiative to establish a Strategic Dialogue with the United States, aimed at further structuring and concretizing mechanisms for institutional cooperation.

Regarding the situation of the Serbian community in Kosovo and Metohija, Minister Đurić emphasized the importance of protecting their security, rights, and dignity. He reiterated Serbia's full dedication to collaborating with international partners to create conditions for peace, stability, and equality for all communities in Kosovo and Metohija.

Minister Đurić once again underscored Serbia's constructive role in maintaining regional stability and security, as well as its commitment to dialogue, cooperation, and partnerships with all relevant international actors, including the U.S., to achieve lasting peace and prosperity in the region.
