Dačić at the MFA of Tajikistan on the development of overall relations
Minister Dačić pointed out that this was the first official visit by a Serbian foreign minister and a signal of our desire to work hard on future relations and to make the friendship between the two countries more effective.
The head of Serbian diplomacy assessed that the two countries enjoy friendly relations, without any open questions, but that our friendly ties have not had concrete results for a long time, and that it was necessary to form a Joint Committee for Economic Cooperation in the coming period and improve our friendship through various forms of cooperation.
Dačić underlined the importance of today's opportunity to discuss plans for encouraging cooperation, especially in the fields of economy, agriculture, tourism, energy, sports, and culture, and the possibility of signing new agreements, and expand the existing contractual-legal base.
The head of Serbian diplomacy emphasised the importance of initiating a political consultation mechanism that will give impetus to the progress and direction of our overall cooperation in the coming period, and also help define the areas of mutual interest.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, welcomed the head of Serbian diplomacy and expressed belief that this visit by the Serbian head of diplomacy to Tajikistan will give a new impetus to our relations, as well as raise the cooperation of our countries to a higher level.
Minister Muhriddin pointed out that Tajikistan sees Serbia as an important partner for cooperation in numerous areas and added that the exchange of visits at the highest level will further strengthen our cooperation.
