Assistant Minister Vladimir Marić at the session of the General Assembly of the Organization of American States
As part of the Dialogue with Observer States in the Organization of American States, held on 5 October, Marić addressed the meeting participants and emphasized that this forum is very important to Serbia, since it defines the agenda of the Western Hemisphere in the areas of democracy, peace, human rights, security, respect for the principles of the United Nations and international law, state sovereignty, cooperation and solidarity. Marić also emphasized Serbia's interest in developing friendly relations and cooperation with member states of the Organization of American States.
In addition to addressing the meeting participants, Ambassador Marić had numerous bilateral meetings on the sidelines, including a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala, Mario Adolfo Búcaro Flores, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Peru, Ana Cecilia Gervasi Díaz, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Argentina, Pablo Anselmo Tettamanti, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Honduras, Torres Zelaya Gerardo José Antonio.
The subject of these talks were current issues, as well as bilateral relations and cooperation in international organizations. All sides expressed interest in strengthening and intensifying the political dialogue.
