15. Jan 2025.
Damjan Jović, the State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, today received İlhan Saygılı, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, for a courtesy visit.

The interlocutors agreed that the bilateral relations between Serbia and Turkey are at a prominent level, despite differing views on the unilaterally declared independence of so-called Kosovo.

They highlighted that cooperation between the two countries is developed in almost all areas of mutual interest, but there are also additional potentials for further development and deepening of relations, especially in the fields of economy, energy, infrastructure, tourism, culture, and education.

Jović wished the Ambassador much luck and success in his future work, expressing confidence that our bilateral relations will gain new momentum and intensity in the coming period.
