A long-term friendship forged with the  Gabonese Republic  constitutes the basis for reinforcing both political and economic cooperation

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia has met President of Gabon Ali Bong today as part of his several-day official visit to the countries of Central Africa.

Minister Selakovic said that Serbia was determined to improve its overall cooperation with Gabon on which occassion he conveyed the greetings of President Aleksandar Vucic to President Bong, as well as our readiness for a meeting between the two heads of state in the coming period.

Minister Selakovic has laid a special stress on the fact that the two countries enjoy a long tradition of friendly relations, and specified that this friendship should be used as a basis for further development of our political and economic cooperation.

The head of Serbian diplomacy said that Gabon had mapped out serious plans for economic development adding that there was room for cooperation in the area of industrialization, agriculture, food industry construtction, as well as for the know-how transfer across many different fields.
