Kozarev on the Final Day of an International Education Conference in Jerusalem

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Dušan Kozarev, on the final day of the international conference EducAItion 2026 in Jerusalem, spoke on Serbia’s approach to advancing education through the use of artificial intelligence during a panel discussion, while also taking the opportunity to hold a series of bilateral meetings with senior officials and representatives of the business community.

Expressing gratitude for the invitation and the warm welcome extended by the Minister of Education of the State of Israel, Yoav Kisch, and the Mayor of Jerusalem, Moshe Lion, Kozarev emphasized that it was a particular pleasure for the Republic of Serbia to take part in a gathering that brought together countries committed to keeping pace with contemporary technological trends and to advancing the application of artificial intelligence in education.

In his address, he underlined that Serbia, under the leadership of the President of the Republic, Aleksandar Vučić, is successfully following global technological innovations and achieving notable progress in the implementation of artificial intelligence–based solutions, particularly in the fields of public administration and education.

On the margins of the conference, the Secretary General met with Israeli Education Minister Yoav Kisch, during which they exchanged views on the education systems of the two countries, with a particular focus on contemporary innovative practices and projects in the field of education. It was mutually noted that education systems must continuously and proactively adapt to the needs of children and young people in the context of changing geopolitical, technological, and social circumstances. It was proposed that, within the framework of the upcoming strategic dialogue between Serbia and Israel, cooperation in the field of education be further strengthened.

Kozarev also met with the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Paraguay, Luis Fernando Ramírez, with whom he discussed bilateral relations and the potential for enhancing cooperation.

Special importance was also attached to accompanying meetings with representatives of the business community in Jerusalem, which represent a significant impetus for strengthening investment, fostering entrepreneurship, and promoting the exchange of ideas and best practices in the field of technological development.
