Kozarev confers with Director General for U.S. regional organizations and processes at the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs

During the General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS) held in Antigua and Barbuda, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Dušan Kozarev met with Daniel Cámara Ávalos, Director General for U.S. Regional Organizations and Processes at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico.

Kozarev and Cámara Ávalos agreed that relations between Serbia and Mexico are marked by a tradition of friendly ties, free of any outstanding issues, and reinforced through cooperation in international organizations, mutual understanding, and the closeness of the two peoples.

The Secretary General expressed his gratitude to Mexico for its principled position on non-recognition of the so-called Kosovo, and conveyed his expectation that Mexico would soon confirm its participation in the Expo 2027.

The interlocutors assessed that there is considerable potential for strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in the economic domain, as well as through intensified political dialogue at the high and highest levels. They also discussed opportunities for establishing new channels of communication between Latin America and the Balkans, emphasizing the significant role of the OAS in this context.
