Kozarev confers with Ambassador Jonathan Moore

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Dušan Kozarev, met today with Ambassador Jonathan Moore, former Acting Assistant Secretary of State in the first Trump administration.

The discussion focused on current geopolitical developments, with particular emphasis on ongoing processes in the Western Balkans and the efforts of countries in the region toward full membership in the European Union.

Both sides affirmed that Serbia’s continued commitment to preserving peace and stability, along with its support for economic growth and development, is of key importance for improving the quality of life and enhancing the connectivity of the region’s people and economies with highly dynamic global trends.

The positive outcomes of the policies pursued by the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and the active engagement of the Foreign Minister Marko Đurić were recognized as contributing to Serbia’s favorable positioning in the United States. In addition to the tangible results achieved in recent years, further momentum in bilateral relations is expected through the anticipated opening of new Serbian Consulates General in Florida and California, as well as the launch of Air Serbia’s third direct flight to the United States, connecting Belgrade and Miami, it was concluded at the meeting.
