Jović participates in Panel “Steering EU Enlargement and Its Impact on the Neighborhood”

The State Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Damjan Jović, took part in the panel discussion titled “Steering EU Enlargement and Its Impact on the Neighborhood” within the framework of the 10th Delphi Economic Forum. He was joined by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Alexandra Papadopoulou, and Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania, Endrit Yzeiraj.

Emphasizing that full membership in the European Union is a strategic commitment and one of the key foreign policy priorities of the Republic of Serbia, Jović spoke about the extensive reforms undertaken and the results achieved in the EU integration process.

In this context, he particularly underlined that the Republic of Serbia advocates for progress towards membership based on fulfilled obligations and in accordance with clear and pre-defined criteria, free from political conditionality.

On this occasion, State Secretary Jović also presented Serbia’s economic achievements, highlighting that the country is among the fastest-growing economies in Europe and maintains an excellent business environment.

He also used the opportunity to express gratitude to friendly Greece for its support on issues of vital national and state interest to Serbia, as well as for its active advocacy of a faster accession process for both Serbia and the Western Balkans region as a whole.
