24. Nov 2025.
The State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Damjan Jović, met today with members of the National Council of the Swiss Confederation, Andreas Glarner and Christian Imark, who also serves as the President of the Switzerland–Serbia Friendship Group in the Swiss Parliament.

The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment to continuing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations in all areas of mutual interest, including interparliamentary cooperation.

In view of next year’s commemoration of the 110th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, the interlocutors discussed opportunities to further intensify political dialogue.

Given the presence of numerous Swiss companies in Serbia and Switzerland’s confirmed participation in the Specialized Exhibition EXPO 2027, the discussion also touched upon prospects for deepening economic ties between the two countries, particularly in the fields of modern technologies, science, and education.

State Secretary Jović briefed his interlocutors on the current situation and the difficult position of the Serbian people and the Serbian Orthodox Church in Kosovo and Metohija, expressing his gratitude for the engagement of the Swiss contingent within KFOR.

The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of Serbia to Switzerland, Ivan Trifunović, and the Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation, Anne Lugon-Moulin.
