Jovanović Attends Meeting on the Margins of the EU General Affairs Council in Luxembourg

The State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Nevena Jovanović attended a meeting in Luxembourg today, held on the margins of the EU General Affairs Council (GAC) and organised by the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The meeting brought together representatives of EU Member States, candidate and potential candidate countries, the European Commission and the European External Action Service (EEAS).
Discussions focused on strengthening democratic resilience across Europe and enhancing cooperation between the European Union and candidate countries in addressing contemporary challenges, including hybrid threats and risks to the functioning of democratic institutions and processes.
Particular emphasis was placed on sharing experiences, strengthening institutional capacities and developing common approaches and mechanisms to prevent and respond to these challenges.
